Bubble

It's 86 degrees today and time to break out the bubble! My friend Melissa made this little outfit for Grace. Isn't it purdy?

A visit to the rain forest

We haven't had any videos lately, so I thought I would share this one of our happy girl enjoying her rain forest bouncer.

Sleep Sack Success

We attempted the sleep sack Friday night, and Grace had no issues! Mommy on the other hand, slept horribly, certain that every time I rolled over and glanced at the clock that she was going to scream out in protest or in pain from knocking her head with her flailing arms any minute.

In other news....Grace watches TV.

Little Stinker

And because those jeans are so darn cute, here's a shot from tummy time later that same day:

Three Months Old

Grace is three months old today! And taxes are due.....don't forget! And Victoria is 17! Happy Birthday Victoria!

We don't have a scheduled doctor's appointment until 4 months, so I took some estimated measurements myself. Grace weighs approximately 13lbs and is about 24 inches.

Three things about Grace:

Grace is sleeping through the night, which is wonderful! Most of the time it is 10 hours. Sometimes, like last night, it's only 7 hours. But it's still so nice to get so much sleep. At night we're still swaddling her in the velcro swaddle me blankets. We are going to attempt a sleep sack this weekend. She will outgrow those swaddle me blankets eventually, and we want to be prepared.

Grace sucks her hands. I have been TRYING to keep her hands out of her mouth and substitute a pacifier, but as my Mom says... "I'm fighting a losing battle." Besides, once she starts daycare, I highly doubt the teachers will be as diligent about removing them from her mouth. She doesn't seem to prefer any particular finger at this point. She usually tries to shove the whole fist in...

Grace is a very smiley baby girl. When we walk her in the room in the morning, she always greets us with the biggest smile. We're still working on giggles. She laughs but no outright belly laughs yet. I'll keep up all the silly antics until I get one! And according to Lori, I'll continue doing silly things for awhile to keep her laughing because it will be so cute!

Oh, one more thing... Grace's legs never stop moving when she's not sleeping. She's always on the go. I hope that's not a sign of things to come!!

Granny and Grandpa Alley were here for Easter this year. We had a nice visit, and the Kottkamp family came for dinner. Here are some pictures from Easter: Easter 2009 - sadly, no pictures of the Kottkamps, but we're working on that today!

I've started an album of all the monthly photo's, which can be found here.

For a look back on all Grace's pictures for her third month, here's a slideshow: Grace: Month 3

Visit with Aunt Katie

Aunt Katie visited us this weekend, all the way from jolly ole England. She'll probably toodle pip me for posting this picture, but I like it! We had a great visit! We shopped till we dropped Friday and Monday - Grace made out like a bandit!! We went to the Terracotta Warriors exhibit at the High Museum on Saturday. If it's at a museum near you, we would recommend it. Very interesting - for more info about the exhibit, click here. Here's a picture of Grace digesting her lunch at the museum.... check out her fancy bib and ridiculously cute jeans. We also ate A LOT, including home made pasta and Krispy Kreme bread pudding TWICE, including one version we made ourselves to replicate the delicacy we experienced at Relish. Yum. Our version did not compare to the real deal....so if you're ever in Roswell, head to Relish!
