Height: 83 cm = 32.7 inches 50th Percentile
Head: 47 cm = 50-75th Percentile
All of the percentiles above based on the World Health Organization charts.
I am trying to switch to the WHO charts, but my subconscious begs me to also compare to the CDC charts.
On the CDC charts she would be below the 5th percentile for her weight. She would be between the 75-90th for her height, and her head would be in the 75th percentile. It's so confusing why they differ so much, except knowing that based on the rest of the world, Americans are so much bigger in general.

Audrey's 15 month stats!
We padded her 15 month stats with an extra month..... so this really 16 months.....
Weight: 8.640 grams, roughly 19.04lbs. 25th percentile according to WHO charts; less then 5% according to CDC charts.
Height: 79cm. 31.1 inches. 50th percentile according to WHO charts; 75th percentile according to CDC charts. (This is up from 50th percentile at a year!)
Head: 46.5 cm. 50-75th percentile according to WHO charts; same for CDC - finally the charts agree on something!
Amazing to me that I have a 16 month old that is still less then 20 pounds! Grace was almost 25 pounds at 15 months. Audrey is only a little less then an inch shorter then Grace was at this age. She's a skinny string bean, that's for sure.
Miss Audrey also got 2 shots; MMR and her last HIB. She screamed bloody murder, but calmed down relatively quickly with a balloon.
Here's a picture of her this afternoon sitting with her sister watching TV.
She loves her sister, but is also loving her time just with Mama while Grace is at school. And Grace is just LOVING school. Another post on that to come.....

Audrey is 12 months + 1 week old!
We can't believe it has been a whole year since this little girl came into our lives. What a year it has been!
It actually works out ok that we're a week late on this post, since we just went to the doctor yesterday and have some stats to share, too.
Weight: 7760 grams = 17.12lbs
Height: 74cm = 29.13 inches
Head: 45.5 cm
About percentiles..... I think I mentioned last time that our pediatrician here uses different charts then our pediatrician from Atlanta. I think they are World Health Organization charts, but not sure. The ones in the US are produced by the CDC.
According to the Belgian chart, Audrey is 25th percentile for weight, 50th percentile for length, and between the 50th and 75th for head circumference.
According to the CDC charts, Audrey is between the 50th and 75th percentile for head circumference (same), 50th percentile for length (same), and below the 5th percentile for weight (big difference!!).
I am not sure what goes into the makeup of the different charts. Perhaps it accounts for Americans being much larger then the rest of the world? I just don't know. Our pediatrician here is not worried, but I have this nagging feeling that our Atlanta pediatrician would be.....and wonder what more we could/should be doing.
Anywho, I digress.... I need to get to the 12 things about Miss Audrey!
1. Also another benefit to being a week late in posting this, Miss Audrey officially has 7 teeth through. One just cut the other night. One more is close. No signs of the molars yet, which should be next.
2. Has taken one or two tentative steps on her own. Once she realizes she's not holding on, she goes down into a crawl. Just not confident enough yet... but I'm sure it will be soon.
3. Despite being a mini-girl, she's comfortably in 12 month clothes.
4. Not a whole lot going on in the word department. She says Dada, and I think she means it, as she does say it when she sees her Dada. But other then that....just babbling.
5. Gives kisses. It is so sweet. I am going to attempt a video of this today. Last night I was reading her Brown Bear, and when we were done, she flipped through the book on her own and kissed every animal. No kisses for the teacher or children though. But she kisses Mommy, Daddy, and Grace regularly.
6. We are slowly cutting out bottles. Prior to her birthday, she was on 4 bottles a day. Last week, I cut out the bottle around lunch time, and started offering her a sippy cup of milk. The first day she sucked it down. But most of the time she doesn't drink all of it. Yesterday, we cut out the bedtime bottle. After extended story time and kissing of animals, she went to bed with NO issues. We'll see how it goes..... she was only doing 2 oz for that bottle for awhile, and then suddenly started sucking down more and more. Fingers crossed.
7. In the food department, she is eating what we're eating. I need to get better with snacks. The doctor also mentioned that she needs about 500ml of milk a day once we get totally off the bottle..... which, she has yogurt about once a day, and that equates to about 125ml alone. So I figure a cup of milk with each meal should be good.... but given her weight, I'm not skimping on anything in the full fat department!
8. Always into everything. It's completely exhausting. She is a wrecking ball. And our pet name for her is Calamity Jane.
9. Huge flirt....from far away. But if someone gets too close or tries to pick her up, and she doesn't know them too well, she is not too shy to tell them to back off in her own special way!
10. Sleep is such a roller coaster. Sometimes its good. Sometimes it's not. I just wish we could have a consistent week or two.....
11. And speaking of sleep, I don't think we are anywhere close to cutting out a nap. If she loses one of her naps, it is not pleasant around here.
12. I think I say this every month, but this girl loves her sister. And loves to already antagonize her. I can already see the beginning of a strong sister relationship.

3 year and 9 month stats, respectively....
This was Grace's first exam by her new doctor. Although she has accompanied us for Audrey's visits, she has not had to go on her own until now.
Weight: 16.260 kg - 75th - 90th percentile - roughly 36lbs.
Height: 100cm - 90th percentile - roughly 39.4 inches
Head: 50.5 cm - 90th percentile.
In a year, she has grown 3 inches, gained 6 pounds, and her head has grown 1 centimeter. Her blood pressure was 85/55 and everything else checked out normal. They didn't do BMI. I don't think that is protocol here.
Now we just need to schedule a check up with the dentist and the ophthalmologist. Her old doctor did an eye exam at the office, but this one does not, so we'll have to do that separately.
Audrey is an old pro at the doctor now.
Weight: 7.370 kg = 10th percentile = 16.25lbs.
Height: 70cm = 50th percentile = roughly 27.6 inches
Head: 45 cm = 50th - 75th percentile.
In a little over 3 months, Audrey has gained about 2.5lbs., grown 2 inches, and her little head is up 2 cm. I really thought she would have been up more in the pounds department. Based on my CDC growth charts, she is in the 10th percentile for weight. But the doctor doesn't use the CDC charts. I believe hers are from the World Health Organization, and it shows her in the 25th percentile. The doctor is perfectly satisfied with her growth.
It's weird to have two little girls on opposite ends of the spectrum. You can't help but compare. But if the doctor isn't worried, then I'm not going to be either. Besides....I have bigger things to worry about. Like, how to keep her from sending us all to the emergency room. This little girl is a MONKEY. She is all over the place. On everything, into everything and trying to climb everything. Which is also the opposite end of the spectrum from how Grace was at this age, too. Last night, she pulled herself up into Grace's Land of Nod chair, stood up, and tipped the chair over and face planted onto the hardwood floors. I immediately noticed a swollen lip and a small cut above her lip - maybe she bit it?! Not sure. But later, I noticed her nose swelling and turning purple. :( I was so worried about it being broken. The doctor (and Dr. Alley) assured me that it was very unlikely she could have broken her nose. She told me to go to the pharmacy and get this gel that relieves swelling and bruising. We may walk down there today before music class if we have time and weather permits. The pack-n-play has reappeared as a play pen for when I can not control her. I'm also borrowing a play yard from a friend tomorrow. She is just dangerous! She loves pulling up on the oven handle! I don't know how to stop that. I tell her no, and have started to smack her hand. And by smack, I mean tap hardly with one of my fingers. But you would have thought I busted out the wooden spoon. She immediately sticks out her bottom lip and huge crocodile tears flood out of her eyes. And then she does it again!!! She is going to wear me out!!
Thank God for NO shots for either girl. I don't think I could have handled it, let alone them. :)

Audrey's 6 Month Stats
Well, we're just back from the doctor, and I'm not happy. :(
Weight: 6.320 kg = 13.93 lbs. - 25th percentile
Height: 65 cm = 25.6 inches - 50th percentile
Head: 43 cm = 50-75th percentile
Audrey only gained 300 grams or a little more then half a pound. She stayed on the same growth curve, but did not get back to where she was..... so I guess it's ok that she didn't decrease any further.....
So she wants me to add potatoes to the vegetables. She had advised to do that all along. I guess that's what they do here. And I tried it one time, and it was just a gummy mess. I'll try again. And the servings must be 200grams. We'll have to buy a scale to figure out how much that is. But at the moment, I am feeding her two large ice cubes of whatever the vegetable is. I thought that was enough, especially because Audrey nurses 5 times a day. Which I thought was actually about normal. Here, babies nurse or have a bottle 2-3x a day and then the other two feedings are REPLACED by food. We never did that with Grace. It was a totally separate thing. Not how they do it in Belgium, apparently.
Ugh. Her height was down a little too, but not concerning..... and she's not making any ma, ba, da, ga sounds....guttural sounds. If by 8 months she isn't doing that, she'll want us to go for a hearing test.

Audrey's 5 Month Stats
Just back from visiting the doctor for Audrey's 5 Month visit.
I think it is routine in Belgium for infants to have a 5 month visit, even though we were also going for a make up vaccine.
She did a whole exam, and we talked a great bit about feeding. She advocates making baby food. They don't normally feed babies cereal here. She was ok with us continuing, but it is not necessary. Babies go straight to vegetables at 5 months, and she wants us to start with carrots. You mix 2/3 carrots with 1/3 potatoes. I think the potato is just to weigh it down in the belly. Same deal as in the US....try something for 4 days or so before moving onto the next vegetable, so to rule out any allergies/reactions.
Here are Audrey's stats:
Weight: 6.020 kg = 13.27lbs. - 25th percentile
Height: 64.5 cm = 25.39 inches - 75th percentile
Head: 42 cm = 50-75th percentile
So.....red flag......Audrey is dropping curves in the weight department. :( At this point she strongly encouraged me to start the vegetables. I don't have a problem with that..... I think we'll continue doing the cereal this week, and start the vegetables next week. I want to give Audrey some time to practice, especially if I'm going to go through the trouble of MAKING the baby food (don't want the good stuff to go to waste). Since she also has the shortened frenulum (tongue tied), I want to make sure she is not having issues moving the solids around her mouth. It shouldn't be a problem since she doesn't have any issues nursing, and I've noticed lately her sticking her tongue out quite far, but just something we want to make sure we're watching.
So, other then that.......everything else was peachy keen. It was a little bit of an overwhelming visit. The doctor speaks pretty good English, but we're both struggling to find the right words so we understand each other. And they just seem to do things differently. But so far, I really like her. She's young, and very willing to answer all my questions and address my concerns. I brought the vaccination schedule from my Atlanta pedi's office, and she is very willing to follow it as closely as she can.
We go again at 6 months, so hopefully we'll be back on track in the weight department.

Audrey's 4 Month Stats
Successful visit to the doctor!! We found an online recommendation via expats.com for Dr. Nathalie Debroux. She was great! Whew.
Here are Audrey's stats:
Weight: 5.850kg, approximately 12.9 lbs., 50th percentile.
Height: 63 cm, approximately 24.8 inches, 75th percentile.
Head: 41.5 cm, 50-75th percentile.
Some things about our visit. She spent almost a full 45 minutes with us. She has NO nurses, and does everything herself. She filled out all the administrative paperwork, took the measurements, administered the shots, wrote prescriptions, and collected payment. Wow, imagine if doctor's offices in the states had less overhead.......imagine.......
Anyway.... the shots.....Audrey was not happy. But quickly recovered and is fast asleep in her car seat. 2 interesting things about the shots. 1. They combine a lot of the vaccines into a single shot. She got Infanrix Hexa, which contained the DTAP, Hep B, Polio, and HIB. Hep B was extra, since she wasn't due for it, but apparently there is no issue with an extra dose. She also got Prevnar. The only scheduled vaccine she didn't get was the Roto virus one, but we can come back in one month and get it....which brings me to number 2. You are prescribed your vaccines. You must go to the pharmacy before your appointment, pick up your shots, and bring them to the doctor to administer. She doesn't keep Roto onhand, so that's why we have to come back and get it in a month after we attempt our first pharmacy visit.

2 Month Stats
Audrey did very well at her appointment this morning. Until the shots.....whoa! She let everyone know she was NOT happy about those shots. But she was actually pretty good/pleasant most of the day....which was good, because we did a lot of running around doing things to get ready for our big move.

Audrey is One Month Old
Day late and a dollar short, but we were busy with doctor appointments, house showings, and oil changes and didn't get a good picture before fussy time set in.
Weight: 9lb. 12 oz.
Height: 22 inches
Head: 38 cm
All in the 75th percentile.
Some things about Audrey...
Has smiled when falling asleep since birth, but lately is smiling more when she's awake. And is awake more often during the day.
Wearing mainly 3 month clothes, and stage 1 diapers.
Really good eater.
Very fussy in the evenings, around dinner, bath and bedtime for Grace. Very fussy. Grace is extremely patient and largely unphased. Thankfully. (Wish I could say the same!)
Trying to start a routine to help with fussy time and give attention to Grace, so the girls are bathing together most nights. Grace is such a good helper, and Audrey enjoys her bath. However, it doesn't do much in the 'calming down' department afterwards.
Still sporting a wild and crazy 'do - almost as long as her sisters! Her hair doesn't look as dark as it did at birth, and her eyes are still blue.
Can sleep 4-5 hours at night, but usually starts her long stretch before I've gone to bed (fussy time wears her out apparently), so I only get a little bit of sleep before she's up every 3 hours or so through the night.
