Making Pizza

These pictures were taken a few weekends ago.  We had this great eggplant tomato sauce leftover, so we decided to use it on a pizza for lunch one Saturday.

I wanna help, too!

It was mmm mmm good!

Un Baguette

We made Sausage and Peppers for dinner Wednesday night and needed some bread to mop up the sauce. So we did a 5 minute walk down the Patisserie for our un baguette.

We love this recipe. Turkey Sausage and Peppers. We will be hard pressed to find anything turkey over here, but peppers are super, super, cheap. All peppers, all colors are 1.75 Euros/kg. I bought 4 nice size yellow peppers for 1.01 Euros. That is about $1.50. Unheard of in the USA! Me thinks we'll be eating lots of stuffed peppers, too. Mmmmmm.

Father's Day

We had a pretty busy day today for Father's Day!

Grace and I were up early-ish and let Daddy sleep in. We sat and drank our milk, watched a little Elmo, made coffee, and started thinking about making waffles with our new fabulous waffle maker.

Once Daddy got up, kicked it into high gear, made waffles, and got ready for church. Matt had to play two masses today. We actually went to the 10:30 mass for a change and got reacquainted with our favorite babysitter who is back from an intern stint at Disney. Woo hoo! Adult night out, coming soon!!!

For those who know my love for Gone with the Wind, I was accompanied by Miss Bonnie Blue Butler to church today!

She was mildly well behaved - Matt spent the sermon with her in the chapel. I tried to do a little photo shoot with her this evening, but most of the pictures looked like this:

She does not stop moving.....except......

We played in the sprinkler this afternoon, but we're not sure Grace was a big fan. Her legs were completely frozen while she was standing in the grass - she would not move - how random is that?!

So since she was suited and lubed up, we went up to the pool for a little while before dinner.

Dinner was Baked Fried Chicken (ummm, yummmm - click the link for the post over on the food blog), creamed corn, and mashed potatoes.

And Coconut Cream Pie for dessert.

Matt - Thank you for being such a wonderful Daddy!
