We ended the week in Galway. Galway is another place that seemed almost unrecognizable to me. There was one street, the shopping street, that I remembered from my visit in 2001. I recently read that with the tech boom in Ireland a few years ago, Galway was one of Ireland's fastest growing cities. But it has been hit hard by the recession.

We must have visited it in 2001. The Connemara marble floors were instantly recognizable. I love Connemara marble, and came home with a new bracelet. Beautiful!

From Galway, we headed back to Dublin to catch our flight back to Brussels. It was a wonderful week! Cold, but definitely a great trip!
