We got there just in time for lunch, and after giving up on our French GPS lady (and Maureen and Jacob's English GPS lady) telling us all to turn right into brick walls and pedestrian only streets, we hopped out and made our way to a Brasserie for lunch.
After lunch, we headed to the Delft factory. We opted to skip the tour with two toddlers and Wrecking Ball Audrey and just browsed the shop. There were some amazing things! And some pricey things!! So we had to shop quickly.... but I think we walked away with some nice treasures:
The girls each got a porcelain "wooden" shoe. The vase is for me, of course, and the bell and small porcelain shoes are ornaments.
I wanted to get the girls REAL wooden shoes, but the only ones I priced would have set me back about 60 Euros. That's roughly 80ish bucks for wooden shoes. I'm hoping that on another excursion into The Netherlands to somewhere a little less touristy might yield something more affordable. They won't be leaving Europe without a pair, though......so we'll have to see!
