Due Date

The due date has officially come and gone..... and baby C is still nice and cozy inside my belly. We've tried a few tricks to coax the baby out, but to no avail so far....

We had spicy Thai on Friday night. Nothing. Just some heartburn for Mama.

There was a full moon on Saturday night. Nothing. But maybe because it was so obstructed by the clouds?!

We went to Scalini's last night for the Eggplant. So far nothing.... they say give it 48 hours to do its trick. (For those who don't know about Scalini's, here's an article: Eggplant Babies)

If the baby doesn't come on its own before tomorrow, we are going to go in to be induced tomorrow night. Keep us in your prayers and thoughts and we'll be sending an email from the hospital when the baby arrives - they have wireless!

Happy New Year!

Well....pretty good chance we WON'T be having a New Year's baby. We had our 38 week appointment yesterday, and the Baby is holding out for now. We did get to sneak a peak on the ultrasound, but now that the baby is so big (estimated to be around 7.5lbs, give or take a pound), you can only see bits and pieces, like a puzzle... the shoulder, for example, took up the entire screen. :) Linebacker! Oh my.

And for those of you that think that might have been a hint at the gender..... GIRLS CAN PLAY FOOTBALL TOO!

Progress

The kitchen is done! Well, as done as it's going to be until after the baby arrives..... It is a sea of beige..... but one day, it might be this beautiful shade of earthy green....picture it!

As for baby....I did another load of sheets tonight, so the baby will indeed have at least a few days worth of clean sheets. Baby steps.

We have our 36 week appointment on Thursday! Maybe the baby will also have some progress news at that time.

35 days and counting

I am 35 weeks today, and only 35 more days till my due date....we "graduated" from our childbirth preparation class on Saturday. We're all "prepped". HA!

Baby Shower Brunch

Our wonderful friends Emily, Lori, Erica and Melissa threw us a baby shower brunch on Sunday. The food and decorations were wonderful, and everyone was so generous with their time and gifts! Baby Caspermeyer is going to be so loved and spoiled.
