13 Months Old!

Very hard to get her to look at the camera, but look at ALL that hair!

Some notable things going on with Grace these days:

This one is especially for Aunt Carol; Grace LOVES bananas. We have had to hide the fruit basket in the other room because she goes crazy begging for bananas whenever she sees them, hungry or not.

Words: Bubble and ball are our most favorite words. But Grace also says book, sounds like boooooo, but definitely a harder vowel sound then blue, which like buuuuu. Also, down, dog dog, uh-oh and Elmo. And something that resembles bumble bee. Lots of Dada and an occasional Mama. We're also working on purple, which can/does sound similar to bubble. You have to have a fine tuned Mama's ear.



Something newish.... stacking blocks. I just started noticing her doing this more and more consistently. Also, putting things in and taking out of containers.



We're still doing our exercises. But we're on hiatus from therapy. It's non-stop pulling up to standing and lots of cruising. She use to stop at the corners of the coffee table and either sit down and scoot to get around it, or yell at us. Now she can turn corners on her own, when she wants to. We're still trying to teach her to crawl. And she is really doing well sitting herself up. But both need some work. We're actually encouraging her to crawl up the stairs. It's good exercise!

Such a good eater. It is a rare thing to find something Grace doesn't like. We even shared a grapefruit today.

We have 7 teeth through! And we brush them every night. I let her use the toothbrush, and I swoop in with the little finger brush.

Continues to sleep pretty well. Except for last night. Thankfully I took the day off today! I needed a nap. And she took a 3 hour nap.

Books are still her most favorite thing. We have baskets of them downstairs, and we rearranged her bedroom to put in a bookcase for her books to read at bedtime.
