Tip-toeing through the Tulips at Keukenhof

Friday morning we headed to Keukenhof.  Keukenhof is the largest bulb flower park in the world, and renowned for it's tulips - and it's only a little over 2 hours away.  I first heard about it last September/October in my HINTS class at the American Women's Club and knew we had to see it for ourselves.  We decided that we were going to go to Holland for Easter, and added Keukenhof to the itinerary.  My friend Maureen also wanted to do an April Keukenhof trip, so I convinced her and her family to come along on our trip.

Keukenhof April 2012

Overall, it was beautiful.  We spent about 5 hours wandering around.  A definite 'must do' if you are in the area when it is open.  I wish it had been a tad warmer, and perhaps we had gone a few weeks later.  A lot of the tulips were not in bloom yet.  The hyacinth was amazing and so very fragrant, though.
